Layout, Yield and Quantities for a Go/No-Go Decision

Conceptual Design gives a utility-scale ground-mount PV project its first engineered basis: a 3D site layout, a PVsyst yield model, a preliminary single line diagram and a preliminary bill of quantities. Each deliverable can be ordered on its own — a PV layout alone is the lowest-cost way to start — and everything carries forward into Planning and FEED without being redrawn.

What Conceptual Design Includes

Site Layout & Single Line Diagram

A 3D site layout and a preliminary single line diagram that fix the plant's capacity and electrical scheme early.

  • 3D site layout
  • Setbacks and row spacing
  • Inverter, MV station and access road placement
  • Preliminary SLD, unknowns marked TBD

Energy Yield Analysis

A PVsyst simulation on the 3D layout: annual energy, performance ratio and the loss assumptions behind them.

  • PVsyst report with 3D shading scene
  • Annual energy and specific yield
  • Performance ratio
  • Weather data source

Preliminary Bill of Quantities

Quantities of the key components, taken from the current design — the basis for your own cost estimate.

  • Modules, mounting structures, inverters and MV stations
  • Formed only from what the design shows

Carries Into the Next Stage

The layout and yield model carry into Planning and FEED without being redrawn. Open items are marked TBD, not guessed.

  • Layout reused in Planning and FEED
  • Upgrade by adding deliverables, not starting over

How It Works

1

Site Assessment

Comprehensive site analysis including topography, shading, and constraints evaluation

2

Layout Development

3D layout and preliminary single line diagram

3

Yield Analysis

Detailed energy production modeling using PVsyst and performance optimization

4

Final Package

PV layout, PVsyst report, preliminary SLD and bill of quantities — whichever were ordered.
